 Next week there will be no seminars for Science, Philosophy and Society, only the lecture (so no seminars on 28th Feb or 1st March, only lecture on 2nd March). This is because it works much better if the seminar is after the lecture. After that the timetable will be normal.

The program will be in Czech language except slides of presentations and presentations of foreign students, anyway come to join us because you can meet many people there.

NEW workplace of the Ministry of the Interior (MOI)

 

STUDENTS WORKPLACE (Department for Asylum and Migration Policy). 

 

Responsibility for foreign university students with residence in the Capital City of Prague and Praha-západ and Praha-východ districts


At this place students can deal with all matters related to their residence permit: from applying for a residence permit to collecting a residence card and mandatory reporting of changes.

Opening hours:

from Monday till Thursday: 8.00 – 16.00 (only for clients with an appointment)

Friday: 8.00 – 12.00 (only for clients with an appointment)

 
From 3rd August 2015 the new MOI office was opened at the address Hládkov 682/9, Prague 6.

This office deals exclusively with foreign university students from countries outside the EU studying in Prague.

The appointment has to be arranged in advancein order to get date and time of the visit (telephone number: +420 974 820 680). All callers are kindly requested to mention to the operator whether they are university students.

Merit Scholarship

The scholarship is designed for the students with excellent study results.

Prerequisites:
- Passed all the exams during the first attempt 
- Study average up to 1.3 (included)
- Registration to the following year
- Request for the scholarship at the day of registration

This scholarship is paid monthly (October - May) at the amount of:
1500CZK - study average 1.00
1000CZK - study average 1.01-1.30

*Excursions to horse farm or school stable (group of max 25 students, therefore there is need to register either to horse farm or school stable via MOODLE system):

  • For students having seminars at 17:30-19:00 will be excursion during lecture time on Wednesday 10:30-12:00
  • For students having seminars at 15:45 -17:15 will be excursion 6.4. and 7.4. during your regular seminars.

**For ZOO visit (group of max 70 students) is necessary to have 4 hours free time, e.g. 9-12 in ZOO, then 1 h transport back to University. Therefore clear term for this visit will be specified later by your possibilities (e.g. on Friday or another day than Wednesday).

Requirements for credit:

  1. Attendance in seminars (2.-3.3. and 23.3-24.3.)
  2. Presentation of homework (breeds) during seminar
  3. Attendance at least on 1 excursion (horse farm OR school stable) and ZOO visit
  4. Attendance and test from Agricultural systems BLOCK

CZECH NATIONAL HOLIDAY - NO CLASSES AT ALL

 There will be lecture of AS I and Introduction to study on Friday

 

 

SPORT CLASS

 

1) All students MUST attend the sport class on a specific day and time that they registered for.

2) You cannot be absent more than TWICE during the semester or you will NOT get credits("zápočet") at the end of the semester! Then you will have to repeat the course in the 2nd year of study. No exceptions are made.

3) In case you CANNOT attend sport class formedical reasons at all please fill out thisREQUEST (click to open the file) and ask your doctor to confirm it. Then bring it to the Sport Center.

4) Exceptionally, when you have a good reason for it, you can attend a sport class on a different day and/or time. Here you can find a SAMPLE (click to open the file) document about how to do it. This paper must be signed by a teacher during the substitute sport class. Then you will bring it to your regular teacher so that he/she can confirm your attendance.

Transfer into regular study

 

In order to be transferred into regular study you need to fulfil several conditions.
 
You must:

1. have nostrification of your secondary school diploma (more information HERE) by MAY 2015

2. pass ALL your exams during the first year of study

3. fill out an online application for Economics and Management study programme via our university website: https://is.czu.cz/prihlaska/
